Monday I picked up Call of Duty 3 for Wii. It took me by surprise, this game is "wow!". I was somewhat curious to how a fps would feel on the Wii and I must say it is good, in fact I believe it is more precise that playing a fps with keyboard and mouse.
Several actions require special Wii movements. It happens now and then that you have to face off in hand to hand combat with a german soldier this requires you the thrust your remote and nunchuk backwards and forward to counteract the moves of the enemy. Another part that using special Wii moves is planting Bombs where you have to place the charge and pull out the pin. Driving a car requires you to treat the nunchuck and the remote as if they were part of a steering wheel.
The story itself is pretty sweet also, from the very first moment you get thrown in one of the bloodiest battles you can imagine. Everywhere people are dying and you are just running trying to conquer the checkpoints. It is somewhat of an adjustment with the Wii's unique way of controlling but you quickly addapt.
The biggest thing this game lacks however is multiplayer, there isn't even a splitscreen multiplayer which is quite the disadvantage compared to the same game on other platforms. But in the end, this has been a very good buy.
